SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC Publishing

Publishing Service Terms

These terms govern publishing packages and related services purchased from SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC. Please review them before submitting a publishing project or completing payment.

Effective September 16, 2026

These are publishing-customer terms.

These terms do not govern the Institutional Outreach Partner Program, referral attribution, partner compensation, or institutional outreach relationships.

1. Agreement to These Terms

By submitting a publishing project, selecting a package, approving a written proposal or change order, or completing payment, you agree to these Publishing Service Terms and the package description in effect when you make your purchase.

“You” and “Author” refer to the person or organization purchasing the services. “Company,” “we,” and “us” refer to SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC.

Your submitted project information, selected package, these terms, the Publishing Services and Rights Agreement when applicable, and any approved written change orders form the complete service agreement for your project.

2. Publishing Packages

Every publishing package includes preparation for Kindle ebook, paperback, and hardcover editions. Each package includes only the services expressly identified in its published description.

PackageFixed PriceIncluded Revision Rounds
Amazon Foundation$991
Amazon Complete$2292
Amazon Author Launch$4593
SSEE Foundation$5491
SSEE Complete$7992
SSEE Author Launch$1,0493

A revision round means one consolidated set of reasonable corrections submitted at one time. Unused revision rounds have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another project.

3. Included Formats and Services

All six packages include preparation of your approved manuscript for:

  • Kindle ebook;
  • paperback; and
  • hardcover.

The exact formatting, cover, metadata, publishing assistance, launch support, and other services included in your project depend on the package you select.

Higher-level packages include the services described for the applicable lower package together with the additional services expressly identified for that higher-level package.

4. Services Outside the Package Scope

Unless expressly included in your package or a written change order, package prices do not include:

  • developmental or substantive editing;
  • extensive copyediting or rewriting;
  • ghostwriting or fact checking;
  • permissions research or legal review;
  • indexing or translation;
  • custom illustration or extensive image restoration;
  • audiobook production;
  • paid advertising or advertising purchases;
  • printing charges or author copies;
  • distribution outside the stated services; or
  • work requested after the included revision rounds are used.

If your project requires work outside the selected package, we will describe the additional work and price in writing. No additional work will begin and no additional charge will be made without your written approval and any required separate payment.

5. Manuscript and Project Materials

You must provide a complete, editable manuscript in a workable format such as DOCX, DOC, RTF, or ODT. A PDF alone is not an editable production manuscript and does not satisfy the manuscript requirement unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You are responsible for providing all required text, images, captions, credits, front matter, back matter, author information, descriptions, keywords, categories, permissions, and other requested materials.

Your manuscript should be proofread before submission. Substantial content changes made after formatting begins may require a written change order and additional payment.

6. Author Ownership and Permissions

You retain copyright in your original manuscript and other original material. You grant SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC a limited, nonexclusive license to copy, edit, format, convert, transmit, display, and upload your project materials as reasonably necessary to perform the purchased services.

You confirm that you own or control the rights necessary to publish everything you submit, including text, photographs, artwork, charts, quotations, trademarks, endorsements, and AI-assisted material.

You are responsible for obtaining and documenting all required permissions. You may not submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or privacy-violating content.

7. Amazon KDP Account and Royalties

Your Amazon KDP account remains under your control. You are responsible for maintaining your account, identity verification, tax information, banking information, payment profile, passwords, and compliance with Amazon’s platform requirements.

Royalties and other platform payments are paid directly to you through your platform account, subject to the platform’s terms, withholding, returns, and adjustments.

SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC does not take ownership of your KDP account and does not collect or hold your KDP royalties under these publishing packages.

8. Amazon ISBN Packages

Amazon packages may use free ISBNs supplied through Amazon KDP for the paperback and hardcover editions when available and appropriate.

Amazon or its designated imprint may appear as publisher of record for editions using Amazon-provided ISBNs. The Kindle edition does not require an ISBN.

Amazon-provided ISBNs are subject to Amazon’s platform restrictions and generally cannot be transferred for use with another publisher or publishing service.

9. SSEE Imprint Packages

SSEE Imprint packages include one purchased ISBN for the paperback edition and one purchased ISBN for the hardcover edition. SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC administers those ISBN records and appears as publisher of record for those editions. The Kindle edition does not require an ISBN.

You continue to own the copyright in your work. Identification of SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC as publisher of record does not transfer your copyright to the Company.

An ISBN identifies a specific edition and format. It cannot be reused, reassigned to another title, or transferred as your personal property. A new edition, material title change, format change, or other material metadata change may require a new ISBN and additional payment.

Before an SSEE ISBN is assigned or a title is released under the SSEE Imprint, you must sign the applicable Publishing Services and Rights Agreement and provide all required project information and approvals.

10. Proofs and Final Approval

You must carefully review all proofs and approval materials. You are responsible for checking spelling, grammar, names, dates, quotations, page order, images, captions, descriptions, pricing, categories, keywords, and other publication information.

Your written approval authorizes us to proceed using the approved files and metadata. We may correct production errors, but we are not responsible for errors you approved or failed to identify during the review process.

11. Project Schedule

Any schedule or completion date is an estimate rather than a guaranteed publication date. Timing depends on the completeness and condition of your manuscript, your response time, the number and extent of revisions, third-party services, platform review, and events outside our control.

You should respond to requests and approvals within seven calendar days unless another response period is provided in writing.

If you do not respond for thirty days, we may place the project on hold. Restarting a dormant project may require a revised schedule and a restart fee that will be disclosed and approved in writing before work resumes.

12. Payment and Change Orders

The fixed package price is due through our approved payment process before production begins unless we agree otherwise in writing.

A payment receipt confirms the amount paid but does not expand the services included in the selected package.

Any change order must identify the additional work, price, and expected effect on the schedule. Email or other electronic written approval is sufficient. Oral statements do not modify the project scope.

13. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your project by providing written notice. Because production time is reserved and project-specific work begins after payment, any refund is limited to the unearned portion of the package price after deducting:

  • completed work;
  • nonrefundable payment-processing charges;
  • purchased or assigned ISBNs;
  • licensed project assets; and
  • committed third-party costs.

Completed services and purchased, assigned, or committed project resources are nonrefundable to the extent permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate a project for nonpayment, prolonged nonresponse, abusive conduct, unlawful or infringing material, misrepresentation, platform violations, or an unresolved material breach.

14. Platform Decisions and No Guarantee

Amazon KDP and other platforms control their own approval, account, printing, pricing, listing, distribution, and enforcement decisions. We cannot guarantee that a platform will accept, retain, display, rank, distribute, or sell your book.

We do not guarantee sales, royalties, reviews, bestseller status, rankings, media coverage, institutional adoption, or any particular financial result.

15. Confidentiality and Data Handling

We use reasonable care with nonpublic manuscript, project, business, and account information. We may use service providers reasonably necessary for forms, file storage, payment processing, communications, security, and publishing production.

Do not submit passwords, bank-account numbers, routing numbers, complete tax identification numbers, payment-card data, or other unnecessary sensitive information through manuscript or general upload fields.

16. Author Representations

You represent that your submitted information is accurate, that you have authority to purchase the services, and that publication and authorized use of your submitted material will not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

You are responsible for claims arising from your materials, instructions, rights violations, or breach of these representations, except to the extent caused by the Company’s wrongful conduct.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, including lost profits or anticipated sales.

The Company’s aggregate liability arising from a publishing project will not exceed the amount you paid the Company for the selected package, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation.

18. Independent Service Relationship

SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC provides publishing services as an independent contractor. The services do not create an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, franchise, fiduciary, or legal representative relationship.

19. Electronic Records

Project notices, approvals, checkbox acknowledgements, payment records, and signatures may be completed electronically. Electronic records and email approvals may be used to administer and document your project to the extent permitted by law.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

Iowa law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing legal action, the parties will make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute through written notice and direct discussion.

Any legal proceeding not resolved informally will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction over Franklin County, Iowa, unless applicable law requires another venue.

21. Complete Terms and Updates

These terms, your project submission, the selected package description in effect on the purchase date, the applicable Publishing Services and Rights Agreement, and approved written change orders constitute the complete agreement for your project.

A later signed change order controls only the specific work it addresses. If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

We may update these terms for future projects. Changes do not retroactively alter a package already purchased unless both parties approve the change in writing.

Publishing Services and Rights Agreement

The formal Publishing Services and Rights Agreement explains package selection, ownership, permissions, KDP control, ISBN administration, approvals, payment, cancellation, and signature requirements.

The final downloadable agreement will be added here after legal review and conversion to PDF.
